As part of the project’s fire strategy and façade detailing, Keyfix also supplied pre-formed corner units and 110-degree angle cut stop ends to accommodate the integration of fire barriers and window openings. The use of these precision-manufactured components ensured continuity of the cavity tray system around corners and complex junctions, while maintaining effective compartmentation and compliance with fire safety requirements.

With the client’s futureproofing and building safety standards at the forefront of the design, Keyfix’s classified Class A1 Non-combustible Grade 304 austenitic stainless steel cavity trays played a crucial role. Alongside providing rigid self-support, and preventing the risk of thermal bridging, these NCCTs are designed to exceed the lifespan of any building.

To complement Keyfix’s trusted NCCT system, its sister company – IG Masonry Support – designed, manufactured and supplied a selection of structural support systems that were tailored to the building’s specifications. This product range included B.O.S.S. A1 (Brick on Soffit System) units, custom designed and built to add depth and visual flare to the building’s façade while remaining non-combustible.

Additionally, Welded Masonry Support Dropper Units were designed and supplied to provide support where the support level was below the line of the structural frame base. Brick Slip Arches were also provided to seamlessly integrate with the surrounding brickwork while simultaneously concealing the structural steel to create a stylish and aesthetic look.
