To enhance fire protection and future-proof the building effectively, Keyfix supplied 3,975m of NCCT, including 887 Pre-Formed Corners and Stainless Steel Weeps. Without the need for sealants, tapes or mastics, Keyfix’s innovative products provided continuous cavity drainage and fire-safe performance across the entire façade.

Indeed, the classified Class A1 Non-combustible Grade 304 austenitic stainless steel cavity trays offer trusted and rigid self-support, are designed to exceed the lifespan of the building and prevent the risk of thermal bridging.

With the congested slab edge increasing the likelihood of the Non-combustible Cavity Tray Lintels (NCCTLs) clashing with plenum boxes, Keyfix leveraged the expertise of its sister company – IG Lintels – to ensure the NCCTLs were designed with a notch to allow for this and angled corners were laser cut to suit.

Working closely with the main contractor, Bouygues UK, the brickwork contractor, City Brickwork (UK) Ltd, and the architect, de Rijke Marsh Morgan Architects (dRMM), Keyfix also imparted technical guidance and advice whenever needed and provided quick response times to any queries.

Furthermore, members of the experienced project team regularly carried out site visits to check on progress, undertook toolbox talks and CPD webinars and attended design meetings.
